Under construction

Thanks to the continued generosity of Mr. Robert J. Young, The Wolfsonian–FIU library now holds a significant collection of materials documenting the physical culture and nudist movements in America. Mr. Young donated a wonderful body of rare periodicals, books, reference materials, and ephemera, after hearing of The Wolfsonian's plans for a future exhibition entitled The Body Politic. Much of the materials were published by American publishing magnate and physical fitness guru Bernarr Adolphus Macfadden (1868-1955). The following objects are a small sampling of this substantial gift.
