Circular glazed earthenware commemorative plate for the 50th year anniversary of the Société Céramique Maastricht, Holland depicting at top center a black and white transfer-print photographic image of Victor Juanez, Directeur - Gerant, superimposed over a background of leaves and acorns; middle section depicts at left a male ceramist standing with one hand on a jar; at center is a display of various ceramics flanked by columns; at right is a female in classical dress holding a torch and a scroll with an owl by her feet; all set against factories with smoke stacks and lush landscape in the background; bottom section depicts a centralized circular rampant lion factory logo superimposed against a golden frieze-like scene of workers producing ceramics; the gilt gold outer rim features a decorative border of a repeating oak leaf and acorn motif.
