Charcoal, graphite on paper design drawing for the San Francisco International airport on Treasure Island; original concept devised prior to World War II of Treasure Island as a proposed site for the San Francisco International airport; Pan American airlines used the location as a base from the time of concept inception to 1941; aerial perspective depicting transpacific hydroplanes flying above the Treasure Island; set against the cityscape of San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distant background.
