Description:
Ink on paper lithograph commissioned as a Christmas card for the Weyhe Gallery in New York. Image depicts an interior scene with patrons looking at art objects; exterior view out of large window shows a snowy urban landscape with wreath decorations hanging from windows of a neighboring building. Actual individuals depicted are gallery owner Erhard Wehye (1882-1972), gallery curator Carl Zigrosser (1891-1975), printmaker Wanda Gag (1893-1946), and artist, art critic and author Henry McBride (1867-1962). Although, this image was used as a corporate Christmas card, it is not an original hand-pulled lithograph, but rather a mass-produced lithograph.
