Tempera and gesso on Masonite mural study with central panel depicting the landing of the Huguenots and the founding of New Rochelle in 1686; also featured, the hardworking industrious pioneers building their homes, the cultivation of their lands, and the surveying of 6,000 acres of land purchased from John Pell which constitutes the city of New Rochelle, New York in 1682; the exterior panels feature the comfortable, well ordered, and industrious homelife of the Huguenots.
