Oil on canvas painting depicting a portrait of a woman dressed in native Alsatian costume holding the tricolor ribbon and wearing a tricolor symbol on her bow which are both symbols of France; included in the painting is a spinning wheel which is traditional element found in Alsatian homes; the painting is an Alsatian confirmation of the resistance and opposition to the German occupation.
