Description:
Gold and green gloss glazed terra cotta exterior facade from the Norris Theatre in Norristown, Pennsylvania composed of approximately two-hundred tiles including cream matte glazed border tiles; the grille consists of a large centralized palm tree with a sheathing base which tapers upwards into stalks with curvilinear ends; at the top center of the palm, a small fountain shoots water into the air; the palm is flanked by two robed musicians set within a columnar-type structure playing long horns instruments all set against a background patterned with flowers, biomorphic shapes and green foliage.
