Circular bronze medal with obverse depicting a steamboat in sea, with cloudy sky above; at the bottom vegetables and other trading goods coming out of cornucopia to the left and right, the cornucopias beginning at the top center in a cartouche for the company's emblem; reverse consists of an inscription on outer rim and in center field, surrounded by foliage and flowers (oak for the west, a lotus/waterlily for the east), left and right the coat of arms of Amsterdam (left) and another city or country, possibly Indonesian.
