Summer Internship Position:

Education Intern

The Wolfsonian seeks an intern in the Education and Public Programs Department. The intern will work closely with the Assistant Director for Education and Public Programs and Educational Programs Coordinator. The intern will learn best practices in museum education and develop the skills necessary to produce educational materials and programs.

Primary duties will include: managing interactive education space in the special exhibition, Women, Art, and Social Change: Newcomb Pottery [4], prepping education space materials, developing and conducting exit interviews, engaging visitors in the galleries, assisting in the development and preparation of free family days, and researching objects.

*15-20 hours a week, June 1 - August 14

Requirements: Interest in museum education; working with diverse audiences and families; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent writing and research skills; and ability to multi-task.

Preferences: Bilingual (Spanish), public speaking experience, and available on occasional weekends.
