The Wolfsonian Library is home to a collection of approximately sixty thousand rare and reference books, hundreds of periodical titles, and tens of thousands of ephemeral items, as well as special collections and archives. The artifacts in our library demonstrate the vital role that art, architecture, and design have played in shaping perceptions of the modern world. The library’s extensive ephemera holdings include vintage postcards, advertisements, brochures, calendars, leaflets, labels, sheet music covers, schedules, matchbook covers, and a variety of other formats, collected and preserved as cultural artifacts that reflect the times in which they were created. The Research Guide to the Collections of The Wolfsonian offers information about how these resources can support scholarship on a variety of topics.
