FAMILY WORKSHOP: POCHOIR—FROM STENCILS TO HOLIDAY CARDS
Get a jump start on the holidays in this workshop for families with
children ages 7 and up. Learn the pochoir (stenciling) technique, create
holiday cards, and explore the exhibition, Fashioning the Modern French

performance of Ballet mécanique along with a screening of its

The robotic orchestration of Ballet mécanique and screenings of
Fernand Léger’s film Ballet mécanique and Bad Boy Made Good, a
documentary about George Antheil and the history of this groundbreaking

Design Matters
Join us for the U.S. launch of Publikum Calendar Guide for
Living 2008 and a talk by Debbie Millman, well-known branding
expert, designer, writer, and host of the internet show Design Matters.
She will be joined by three designers featured in the calendar:
Vancouver-based independent designer Marian Bantjes, Carlos Perez of
Elastic people, and George Mill. The 2008 edition of Publikum Calendar,
an extraordinary calendar designed by leading designers, features Chip
Kidd, Luba Lukova, Matteo Bologna, and Garth Walker, along with works by
Elastic People, Bantjes, and Mill. The principal designer for Guide for
Living 2008 is Sean Adams of Adams/Morioka Inc. For more information
